Minuteman Project X Models

Many of you know we’ve been working on a new design which we’ve been calling Project X. At this point we pretty much have the basic design set. We now are thinking of having 3 different versions and have come up with names for each one.
First up this is the newest version and the one we currently like the most. It’s a stealthy look and we’re calling it the “Grey Man” Here is where that name comes from. http://sealgrinderpt.com/navy-seal-workout/who-is-the-gray-man-in-navy-seal-training.html/
This version would not have a date as we feel the color of the standard date wheel which is really what we will be forced to use and as such would stick out like a sore thumb. Rather than use a tinted watch crystal to achieve this look. We are planning on going with a black dial background and gray for the print color. We have been told in the past that there is a way to get the grey color to glow. We don’t know how well or how far long it would glow. So for now if your thinking of getting one. Plan on it not glowing in the dark. That could totally change if we decide to get the look with a tinted crystal and white print. That for sure would glow somewhat though based on experience not very well.
Currently we plan to offer these with 7 jewel Swiss ETA 955.112 quartz movements though we may offer them with Hattori YT57 Kinetic type movements. We are thinking this could make the watch stand out a bit in the crowd and we know some of you are fans of Japanese Kinetic watch movements. Price would be the same with either of these movements. Speaking or price we have not set that as of yet.
We may only offer 25 of these in the 1st production.
So if your interested email us at info@minutemanwatches.com and let us know that you would like us to contact you when we start pre-selling these.
The Grey Man
Next up is a Red, White, and Blue version we are currently calling RWB. The blue in the dial background is the official Pantone for the American flag. White hands, markers, and numerals we can make this puppy glow in the dark and it should be respectable at that.
At this point we are not sure if we will offer this with a military style nylon strap or our current American made leather strap. Feel free to let us know what you think.

Lastly is this version most of you have already been seeing and as of right now we are calling it the “Darby”. Why in the heck are we calling it that? http://www.defensemedianetwork.com/stories/col-william-o-darby-the-ranger-who-led-the-way/
For now we are planning to use the same 7 jewel Swiss ETA 955.112 quartz movements we now use. However we would really like to bring to market a watch with an auto wind mechanical movement at some point. So we are also thinking of offering this version with the Seiko Time Module NE15 auto wind mechanical movement. If we do that the price of the watch would increase by about $100 due to the much higher cost of this movement.
For this version we have been planning on making 50 of these in our first production run but depending on demand this could change. So if your interested email us at info@minutemanwatches.com and let us know that you would like us to contact you when we start pre-selling these.

In order for us to be able to bring these to market we will need to pre-sell about 60 watches. Based on recent experience this could be a real challenge for our small brand. If you would like to see these brought to market please help us spread the word. We urge all of you to keep an eye on our social media sites for updates on how these shake out. We have several idea’s for this series and are mulling those over internally right now.
